The fish in the lake in Danceni died because of a disease. The examination of the chemical composition of the water showed that there were no major deviations. “We are permanently monitoring the composition of the water in the lake and I can say with certitude that the deviations identified as a result of the examination performed two days ago are not so serious to cause the death of the fish,” the head of the Ecological Investigations Center Arcadie Leahu has told Info-Prim Neo. Such cases were also reported in 2010. It was established then that the fish also died because of a disease. According to the specialist, the disease may have been caused by the sudden rise in temperatures. Dozens of dead fish were found on the banks of the lake last week. A report was drawn up against the administrator of the lake – “Pescarus-Danceni” SA – for inappropriately looking after the banks of the lake. The company was ordered to collect the dead fish and bury or throw them at an authorized waste dump.
