Foreigners in Moldova will be trained based on new regulations

The Cabinet on June 23 approved the regulations concerning the training of foreigners in education institutions of Moldova. In a move to improve the admission procedure, the number of documents that must be presented to the Ministry of Education was decreased IPN reports.

The citizens of other states will be able to choose programs of study in the Romanian language or in authorized international languages. A language tests will be taken by candidates before admission.

The education institutions that provide education services for foreigners will be responsible for the high-quality organization of training, the authenticity and accuracy of the documents presented by foreigners to the Ministry of Education, familiarization of the persons admitted to studies with the legislation concerning the regime of foreigners in the Republic of Moldova and annual presentation of statistical reports on the number of enrolled students.

Currently, slightly over 4,300 foreigners from over 50 states study at higher education establishments in Moldova.
