The former director general of the state-owned enterprise “Moldova’s Railways” (CFM) Oleg Tofilat has joined the bloc “Together”. The announcement was made at a news conference, IPN reports.

Oleg Tofilat said that today the country witnesses serious crises. The agricultural sector is close to failure, as is “Moldova’s Railways”, and the most horrible criminals are coming out of prison, and all this "under the careless eyes of those who are in power".

The good news is related to the opportunities that the country has. The whole civilized world is willing to provide support, and Moldova can be a remarkable example of how a country can shape its fate even in times of crisis, said Oleg Tofilat.

The bloc “Together”, established in April 2024, declares itself a pro-European political alliance. After the Coalition for Unity and Welfare withdrew, the bloc included the Dignity and Truth Platform (DA Platform), the Party of Change and the League of Cities and Communes. The Ecologist Green Party joined the bloc later.

At the conference, the leader of the Party of Change Ștefan Gligor said that Oleg Tofilat is a top manager in the field of transport. He successfully managed one of the most problematic enterprises and a field of strategic importance for the national economy.

DA Platform chairman Dinu Plîngău said that Tofilat's experience, knowledge and clear vision will be put at the service of the citizen.

Oleg Tofilat left the CFM at the end of January 2024, after having managed the enterprise since May 2021. As now, the entity was facing financial problems and because of this, the employees have not yet received their salaries. Oleg Tofilat said then that the enterprise coped only with the money it earned and the reduction in revenues generated salary arrears.
