Four men aged between 23 and 32 from Comrat town are suspected of committing a number of burglaries in their native settlement. They face 12 years behind bars, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the General Police Inspectorate, one of the men was earlier tried for thefts and drug keeping. The police determined that the men committed four burglaries over the last two-three months, but they started to steal things from apartments over one year ago.

Upon searches of the suspects’ homes, the police found about 2 kg of golden jewels, a hunter’s gun held illegally, narcotic substances, poppy straws, mobile phones and watches.

The suspects are investigated for theft and illegal distribution of drugs.
