Franzeluta can supply Chisinau with bread for 10 more days if gas is out

The stocks of Moldova's largest bakery Franzeluta contain enough fuel oil to continue providing Chisinau with bread for ten more days, in the event of a halt in natural gas supply, Info-Prim Neo reports. “The city is provided with roughly 160 tonnes of bread each day”, said Vladimir Nirca, the head of the municipal department responsible for trade, food and service provision, at Monday's ordinary meeting at the City Hall. “If gas supplies are halted, the producer will be able to work ten more days”, he said. Vladimir Rotari, department head at Franzeluta, confirmed to Info-Prim Neo that the bakery has fuel oil in its stocks, but in cases of emergency electrical stoves will be employed to provide the city with bread. Concerning the supply of milk and dairy products, Nirca said “it depends on the situation in the locations where the diaries are based”. So far the situation has been stable, he added.
