Over the past week, fuel has gotten about 75 cents cheaper. And for the next three days, ANRE is announcing a 16 bani reduction in the price of 95 octane gasoline and 15 bani for diesel, IPN reports.
Between April 12 and 14, a liter of COR 95 gasoline will be sold at the pump for no more than 23.02 lei, and a liter of diesel - for 19.15 lei.
"The trade war unleashed by the US against its partners, in particular China, as well as the unexpected announcement by OPEC+ on the continuation of plans to increase crude oil production, have created a storm on the international markets of oil and oil derivatives," explains the National Agency for Energy Regulation.
As a result, both Brent crude oil prices and Platts prices for gasoline and diesel have plummeted to their lowest level in five years.
ANRE notes that it will continue to strictly monitor the market for petroleum products, ensuring transparency and fairness in setting prices, as well as protecting consumer interests.
