The Government approved the appointment of Aurel Fondos, who worked as senior consultant at the Reintegration Office, as Deputy Minister of Defense. His appointment is to be confirmed by presidential decree.
Deputy Minister of the Interior Veaceslav Ceban was named as commander of the carabineer troops, and Viorel Gutu was dismissed from the post of Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry in connection with his appointment to another post.
Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Vasile Bumacov said Gutu will manage the FAO Representative Office in Tajikistan. He is the first Moldovan official who will hold such a post abroad.
Prime Minister Iurie Leanca thanked Viorel Gutu for his work and wished him good luck.
