Government endorses candidates for ambassador

The Government approved the candidacies for the posts of Moldova’s ambassador abroad in its January 27 meeting, IPN reports.

Thus, Inga Ionesii was proposed for ambassador to Estonia, Stefan Gorda for ambassador to Bulgaria, while Iurie Renita for ambassador to Belgium.

Dumitru Socolan was suggested for ambassador to Portugal, Oleg Tulea for ambassador to Hungary, Georghe Leuca for ambassador to Azerbaijan, Vitalie Rusu for ambassador to the Czech Republic, while Tudor Ulianovschi for the post of Moldova’s Permanent Representative to the UN Office in Geneva. Victor Moraru was recalled from this latter post.

Vasile Bumacov could serve as ambassador to Japan. He was minister of agriculture and food industry and has the scientific title of doctor habilitate. During many years, he contributed to the implementation of the Japanese project 2KR, which is one of the most popular projects among agricultural producers.

The candidates endorsed by the Government are to be confirmed to posts by presidential decree.
