By not making public the situation at Banca de Economii and the Chisinau International Airport, the government gave an advantage to the Communists, who now have one more reason to protest. However, the Communist Party becomes more an anti-state one and the people must understand that a party that wants Bolshevism to be restored is inacceptable, political analyst Anatol Taranu, who heads the Center for Political Analysis and Consultancy “Politicon”, said in the program “Replica” on Prime TV channel, IPN reports.

“Who asked the authorities to enter a new political system with two events that surprised public opinion? These events should have taken place in conditions of maximum transparency and openness to society,” stated Anatol Taranu. He also said that Moldova is close to taking a historical decision, while the people must make a choice towards democracy and a civilized country.

In the same program, analyst Oazu Nantoi, program director at the Public Policy Institute, said that the 1990s saw more profound socioeconomic crises, when the pensioners received food instead of pensions, while the teachers were paid salaries once in half a year. What the members of the PCRM do before the Vilnius Summit and before the initialing of the Association Agreement with the EU is an attack on the state.

The invitees said that what the Communists name velvet revolution is not even close to such a revolution, which was initially aimed against communism.

Sympathizers and members of the PCRM mounted a series of protests, expressing their dissatisfaction with the Government’s decision to concede the Chisinau International Airport and to reduce the state-owned shareholding in Banca de Economii.
