The university primary medical assistance clinic of the University of Medicine and Pharmaceutics “Nicolae Testemitanu” and the university dental clinic will be reorganized into the Institute of Clinical Medicine by merger, IPN reports, quoting a draft decision that is to be examined and approved by the Government.
The Institute’s founder will be the University of Medicine and Pharmaceutics “Nicolae Testemitanu”. According to the Ministry of Health, the objective of the reorganization is to implement the good international practice according to which the universities of medicine have clinics and hospitals managed and financed separately by them.
The Institute of Clinical Medicine will provide services within the mandatory health insurance system, training, different pharmaceutical and other services. No allocations from the state budget will be needed for its functioning.
