A group of people who invested money in the construction of a residential complex with three blocks in Ialoveni town said they were surprised to find out that the constructions became property of the relatives of the current Deputy Minister of Economy Valeriu Triboi. The manager of the construction company SRL “Anevas Cuant” Vasile Chitiniuc, who initiated the building of the complex, in a news conference at IPN said the deputy minister committed a raider attack on his company in a move to appropriate the residential complex the investments into which amount to tens of millions of lei.

Vasile Chitiniuc stated that when the construction works were carried out, they attracted a number of investors, including the company “Mirant Plus” that is managed by Igor Lipceanu. “Director Igor Lipceanu one day told me he found a rich investor that can invest about 7 million lei and presented me to Valeriu Triboi,” he stated. An investment contract was later signed with the wife and mother of the deputy minister. The money was to be invested within three days of the signing of the contract, but has never been allocated.

Vasile Chitiniuc said that Lipceanu sued SRL “Anevas Cuant” because this would have owed 13 million lei to it. “They worked for seven months and then sued SRL “Anevas Cuant” over debts for the works performed by “Mirant Plus”,” he stated, adding that the court ordered terminating the contracts.

According to Vasile Chitiniuc, the whole residential complex became property of the mother of the current deputy minister of economy. The two women claimed in court that they transferred the investments agreed with SRL “Anevas Cuant” to “Mirant Plus”. Afterward, on the pretext that this money was invested, “Mirant Plus” signed over the complex to the deputy minister’s mother. “I don’t know how we will manage to solve the problem when neither the judge, nor the police or prosecutors want to listen to us,” said Vasile Chitiniuc.

He also said that the group of workers who performed construction works didn’t get salaries amounting to about 1.5 million lei.

The construction of the residential complex started in 2006. The people who wanted to purchase apartments there invested money in 2006-2009. Only six stories have been erected so far.
