The heated tents put up in the streets by the rescue services are being dismantled as the threat of extreme cold has been overcome, IPN reports.

According to the State Weather Service, on Saturday and Sunday, air temperatures will range from -2 to -8 degrees Celsius during the night and from -3 to +2 degrees during the day.

Nine tents heated by generators, including five tents in the capital city, were installed 3 days ago as part of an emergency response effort. They provided care to 1,500 people who dropped in to warm up. Temperatures as low as -20 degrees Celsius were recorded on the New Year's Night.
