His Holiness Kirill, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, in a meeting with Acting President Marian Lupu, said that his visit to Chisinau has a religious purpose and no political subtext, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the presidential press service. The Russian official wished Moldova peace and welfare and stronger faith, saying faith in God has always united the people in the most difficult times. Marian Lupu conferred the Order of the Republic on Patriarch Kirill in gratitude for his special contribution to promoting and developing the spiritual and moral values. Patriarch Kirill has been in Moldova on a visit since October 8. He will close his visit in the afternoon of October 10. The Russian delegation will arrive at the Chisinau International Airport at 15.30.
