Almost 50 persons from the municipality of Chisinau needed medical care after falling on the icy roads the last few days.
National Emergency Medicine Center spokesman Petru Cravet has told Info-Prim Neo that most of the patients are young. They broke their arms, legs or ribs. Some of them were hospitalized. The doctors warn the people to be prudent on the icy and snowy roads and to wear appropriate footwear.
The State Hydrometeorology Service issued a yellow code advisory for ice on roads for the period between December 13 and 15.
