The Party of Socialists (PSRM) will not support the candidate for the post of Prime Minister fielded by the Political Alliance for European Moldova, the party’s leader Igor Dodon said after the February 14 consultations with President Nicolae Timofti, IPN reports.
“The only solution is to hold early parliamentary elections and you will see that this solution will be put into practice sooner or later,” stated Igor Dodon.
He also said that he asked Nicolae Timofti to use his right to dissolve Parliament if the new candidate for premiership is not voted in by the second round.
As to the candidacy of Chiril Gaburici, Igor Dodon said he does not remember having personal relations with him. “I read some details from the press. We will see what he comes with,” he stated.
Nicolae Timofti initiated consultations for designating a new candidate for premiership after the Leanca 2 Government didn’t get a vote of confidence from Parliament.
