The relations between consumers and agencies that provide vacation services become more clearer. The consumers will be able to terminate the contract for the purchase of such services within 14 days, says a bill to amend and supplement legal acts that was approved by the Cabinet, IPN reports.
The draft law also defines the conditions in which a private individual has the status of consumer of vacation services. The person becomes consumer of vacation services when this is part of a civil relationship and signs a contract with a firm that carries out entrepreneurial activities.
The bill provides that the consumer will be able to terminate the contract for the purchase of vacation services within 14 days by notifying the professional, without being obliged to invoke a reason. If the bill is adopted by Parliament, the payments in advance for vacation services could be banned. Also, the consumers will not provide bank guarantees.
The draft law specifies the volume of information that the professionals will be obliged to provide to consumers about their vacation services, including about the accommodation, meal and the consumer’s right to end the contract. The bill includes standard forms of documents that will be signed between the consumer and the professional.
