No more special queues for people waiting to pick up their parcels. Beginning today, August 18, international packages, mail parcels and registered letters can be picked up from the district post offices. On August 7, the Post of Moldova had opened eight offices in the city center specially for the recipients of parcels. The initiative was a failure, causing huge lines at the new offices, IPN learned from Elena Ganciucova, head of the Marketing & Sales Department at the Post of Moldova.
“We tried to optimize queues and we realized it wasn’t the best idea. We didn’t consider the holiday season. Many people went abroad and there were a lot of packages gathered, waiting to be picked up. Now people are returning from their holidays and are going to the post offices for their parcels, where they join the queue together with those who received an SMS that their package arrived only yesterday”, explained Ganciucova.
She says that the canceled project came in response to numerous requests from people who wanted a separate line for recipients of international packages, so that they wouldn’t stand in a line with people who came to pay their bills, receive their pensions or send a letter.
