Iurie Leanca to participate in Riga Conference

The most acute challenges of the current international agenda will be discussed during September 14-16 at the Riga Conference in Latvia, where Moldova will be represented by Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Iurie Leanca. The chief of Moldovan diplomacy will make a presentation at a session dedicated to frozen conflicts and their impact on European security, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration it was said that the Riga Conference has become a leading foreign and security policy forum in Northern Europe for world renowned political, intellectual and business leaders. On the margins of the Conference, Iurie Leanca will hold a number of meetings with Latvian officials, including Latvia's President Andris Berzinš and Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevičs. Iurie Leanca's visit also serves to mark the 20th anniversary of Moldova-Latvia diplomatic ties.
