In the relations with the European Union, credibility is a decisive factor, said MP of the group of the Party “Action and Solidarity” Iurie Reniță. According to him, to obtain the EU’s support, Moldova should implement the provisions of the assumed Association Agreement. The financial assistance promised earlier will not be provided to Moldova in advance and the country will have to respect all the agreements. The issue was developed in a program on TVR Moldova channel, IPN reports.

“We inherited those famous conditionality elements owing to which the EU distanced itself from the Republic of Moldova. The current Government already undertook to fully implement all the conditions and the provisions of the Association Agreement,” stated the MP. According to him, this way the Republic of Moldova becomes eligible for financial assistance and credible.

Iurie Reniță said Romania is ready to provide assistance to Moldova in the justice sector. The issue was discussed during the visit paid by Prime Minister Maia Sandu to Bucharest several days ago. The discussions centered on practical and concrete things such as roaming communication between the citizens from both banks of the Prut and the possibility of offering more economic autonomy to the Romanian communities that twinned with Moldovan localities. “The Government of Romania could allocate a particular amount from the national budget for the communities that have relations with communities in the Republic of Moldova for continuing projects,” he stated.

Politologist Cristian Pârvulescu said the parliamentary majority created in Moldova is still distrusted. “There are many in Bucharest who do not believe that this majority will be stable long,” he stated, noting the majority is strange as it was formed by pro-European and pro-Russian politicians.

The expert in political sciences also said that Maia Sandu’s visit to Brussels transmitted a political message. At European level, there is openness towards the Republic of Moldova. The promised financial assistance will be unfrozen and this will strengthen the positions of the current Government.
