For better organization, updating, accessibility and transparency of land data, the Land Cadastre will be kept in an automated information system. The concept of the system was discussed in a meeting of the Coordination Council at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, IPN reports.
Currently, the Land Cadastre is managed by the local public authorities on paper, comprising a set of data and documents about the legal regime of land, its distribution to land owners, quantitative and qualitative parameters, as well as its economic value.
“The Cadastre was approved annually through a Government decision. However, the system proved to be ineffective. For this reason, the new Land Code stipulates that the Land Cadastre will be managed by the local public authorities through an information system that will contain quantitative and qualitative details about the land available in the country,” said the Ministry.
This information will be accessible both to the central and local public authorities and to the interested institutions and citizens.
