The owners of agricultural land will be excluded from the list of payers of individual compulsory health care insurance premiums. An amendment to this effect will be approved soon, announced Minister of Health Ala Nemerenco.
In a post on Facebook, the minister said that most of them received or inherited these lands as a result of the national “Land” program, with beneficiaries receiving 2.5 ha on average. Some of the owners emigrated and no longer live in Moldova.
Under the proposed amendment, landowners will no longer be notified of the requirement to pay the premiums or late payment penalties.
According to Ala Nemerenco, the decision was taken by mutual agreement with CNAM and a group of PAS lawmakers.
