The fund for the development and modernization of public medical service providers for 2025 was increased from 50 million lei to 92 million lei, 84% up on 2024. The Cabinet on Wednesday approved the draft law on mandatory health insurance funds for 2025, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Health, the allocated financial resources will also be used to repair and equip medical institutions, to ensure a more efficient and accessible health system.
The mandatory health insurance funds for 2025 will exceed 17 billion lei. Revenues and expenses are by 12.8% higher compared to the amount approved for 2024.
The given augmentation will enable to raise the salaries of employees of public medical and sanitary institutions included in the mandatory health insurance system by 15% from January 1, 2025.
