MPs Iurie Leanca and Eugen Carpov left the parliamentary group of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM). The two made known their decision in the opening of the February 27 sitting of Parliament, IPN reports.
Iurie Leanca made this announcement after on February 26 he made public his decision to leave the PLDM. Eugen Carpov, who is not a member of the PLDM, also said that he leaves the faction, noting that the party’s actions no longer correspond to the promises made in the election campaign.
The chairman of the PLDM Vlad Filat intervened, saying he hopes their decision is not based on the same reasons as those invoked by Igor Dodon and another two MPs when they left the Party of Communists (PCRM) in the previous legislature.
Earlier, it was rumored that Igor Dodon, Zinaida Greceanyi and Veronica Abramchuk left the PCRM after they were paid to vote Nicolae Timofti head of state.
The PLDM now has 21 seats of MP.
