Those wishing to contribute to the promotion of reading are invited to bring books under the Christmas Tree placed in the Government Building during December 3-20. The action is part of the "Library under the tree" initiative implemented by the executive for the third consecutive year. The donated books will reach children all over the country, IPN reports.
Books can be brought between 12:00 noon and 05:00 p.m. to the Government Building, entrance from Mitropolit Gavriil Bănulescu-Bodoni St. The books collected this year will be distributed to placement centers for children, but also to hospitals that have spaces intended for young readers.
More than 5,500 books were collected within the "Library under the tree" campaign last year. The books were distributed to over 50 school libraries.
