Man beats companion to death

A man is suspected to have beaten his domestic partner to death. He claims that the woman cheated on him. The couple had an 18 year old boy. On Thursday afternoon, July 26, the police was announced that the body of a woman was lying on a street in Bacioi, a suburb of Chisinau. The spokesman of the General Police Commissariat Adrian Jovmir told Info-Prim Neo that the body had signs of violent death, including head injuries. The police soon arrested the main suspect, the woman’s partner, aged 38. During his hearing, he admitted having a fight with the woman and hitting her with a tough object in the head. The man had previously been convicted for grand theft. The suspect is charged with premeditated murder, which is punishable by 12 to 20 years in jail or even life sentence.
