A 70-year-old man was killed in a house fire in Radoaia village of Sangerei district. Emergencies Service spokeswoman Liliana Puscasu said the man was found dead in a room destroyed by fire, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to preliminary investigations, the fire was caused by a candle.
The 83 fires that happened in Moldova so far this year claimed 16 lives, including of a child. Eight fires occurred during the last 24 hours.
