The person who informed that a bomb was planted on the Milan-Chisinau flight in the evening of March 12 has been identified. This is a man aged 32 from Chisinau municipality who missed the flight, IPN reports.
According to the Border Police, the man admitted his guilt. A criminal case was started against him. He faces a fine of 4,000 to 10,000 lei, 180 to 240 hours of community service or up to two years in jail.
At about 4pm on Mach 12, the border police of the Chisinau Airport checkpoint were informed by a travel agency that a caller told them about an explosive device placed on a plane that is to land in Chisinau. The plane landed safely in over two hours, with the bomb scare turning out to be false.
