Master’s degree studies in U.S. for young public service professionals

The young professionals working in the public service sector can file applications to take part in the program of scholarships to study for the Master’s degree in the United States during the 2013- 2014 academic year, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to a communiqué from the Government, the program offers integral scholarships. They cover the tuition fees and the compulsory university taxes, the accommodation costs and meals, the health insurance, the visa and transport (a return ticket for an international route and local transport), funds for teaching aids and professional development.
The program is open to young professionals and persons in the middle of their career in the public service, civil servants, persons who work in the offices of statespersons, persons holding public dignity posts and who work within the local public administration. The applicants must have an experience of at least 18 months in the public service (central or local public authorities).
The study areas are: education, social policy, environment management/policy, agricultural management/policy, public management/administration, public policy, economy/development economy, public health. The participation conditions are available on www.burse.gov.md. The training and professional development program for Moldovan civil servants is implemented by the Educational Advising Center with financial support from the Emergency Fund of the Open Society Institute, the Open Society Foundations, and is supported by the Government of Moldova.
