Mayor of Borlänge praises rapid implementation of new practices in Chisinau

The Mayor of the Swedish town Borlänge Jan Bohman, who has been in Chisinau on a working visit, expressed his approval of the pilot project on self-service implemented in schools, which was borrowed from them. “I’m very impressed by the speed at which the idea of the Swedish lunch was implemented in Chisinau and how correctly this model was used, almost perfectly,” Jan Bohman stated for Info-Prim Neo. “Our relations became stronger, while the cooperation better. It is the first visit paid by the mayor to Chisinau and we expect him on other occasions as well. There are many things that we can learn from the Swedish people,” said Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca. He referred to energy efficiency, thermal insulation of buildings and waste management. “In Sweden, only 1% of the garbage is buried, while in Moldova 99% is buried and only 1% is recycled,” stated Dorin Chirtoaca. The Swedish delegation headed by Jan Bohman has been in Chisinau on June 7-8.
