The goods confiscated by the police will no longer be transmitted to fiscal inspectorates, but could be managed by the General Police Inspectorate (GPI). A draft Government decision to this effect was proposed for debates by the Ministry of the Interior. The bill refers both to seized goods and money, IPN reports.
The draft decision provides that the confiscated arms and munitions, toxic, narcotic, psychotropic substances and the precursors of these and goods without owners are handed over to the competent subdivision of the GPI gratis. Also, the units of transport, computation equipment and communications that are confiscated based on court decisions and sentences and those without owners are given to the Inspectorate. Afterward, by order of the institution, these are distributed to the relevant subdivisions for being used by these.
Proposals over the draft decision can be submitted by January 27.
