Moldova ‘alerted’ by wailing sirens

Sirens had wailed all over the country for several minutes at about 2pm on June 15. It was a test to see how the centralized warning system works, performed in accordance with the civil protection preparation plan, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The Civil Protection and Emergencies Service warned the medical, school and pre-school institutions and the local public authorities to make sure that they continue work during this exercise and to ensure calmness.
The sirens convey the message “Attention, everyone!”. The system warns the population about possible dangers, including natural disasters, chemical or radioactive accidents.
