The Republic of Moldova is aligning with the United States' international restrictive measures against harmful activities abroad of the Government of the Russian Federation. A decision to this effect was adopted by the Inter-institutional Oversight Board and published in the Official Gazette, IPN reports.
The Council also decided to implement the EU's international restrictive measures against cyber-attacks posing a threat to the European Union or its Member States, as well as the EU's international restrictive measures against serious violations of human rights and serious human rights abuses.
The Inter-institutional Monitoring Board is chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova. It is set up to provide the general framework for cooperation in the field of the implementation of international restrictive measures in the Republic of Moldova, as well as for the introduction of international restrictive measures by the Republic of Moldova on its own initiative.
