Moldova finish this year on 84th spot in FIFA rankings

The Moldovan national football team finished this year on the 84th place in the FIFA World Rankings, updated on Thursday. The team coached by Gabi Balint kept the same position as last month even if they didn't play any friendlies in November. Moldova's group rivals in the Euro 2012 qualifying stage are ranked as follows: Holland – 2nd, Sweden – 33rd, Hungary – 42nd, Finland – 83rd, and San Marino – 203rd. Spain continue to lead the rankings, followed by the Netherlands, Germany, Brazil and Argentina. In the winter break, Moldova will travel to Portugal for a training camp during February 4-10, 2011. In the Portuguese city of Faro, the Tricolors will play two friendlies, with Poland on February 6, and with an yet undetermined rival on February 9. Negotiating with several federations at a time, the Moldovan Football Federation said Portugal themselves might be the ones.
