The Eurovision Song Contest final will take place tonight in Baku, Azerbaijan. The winner will leave with the big prize and a chance for his country to host the next edition of the contest.
Moldova’s representative Pasha Parfeny qualified for the Eurovision final with his song “Lautar”, after performing in the first semifinal on Tuesday, May 22. Tonight, the Moldovan singer will sing the last, before a crowd of 25,000 people. Romanian band Mandinga will perform the 14th, and Ukraine’s Gaitana the 25th.
The live broadcast of the Eurovision final will begin at 10 PM on national television Moldova 1. The winner will be announced after each country will award points according to the local televoting. Pasha Parfeny cannot be voted from Moldova.
The contest is watched by 120 million viewers from all over the world. This is Moldova’s 8th consecutive participation at Eurovision. The best result was obtained by Zdob si Zdub who finished 6th in 2005.
