Moldova sends Zdob si Zdub to Eurovision

For a second time, Zdob si Zdub will represent Moldova at Eurovision Song Contest, this year with a tune called So Lucky. The band won the national selection on Sunday night, earning 20 points out of 24, with 10 from the televoting and other 10 from the jury, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The maximal televoting score – 12 points – was assigned to Karizma, as Natalia Barbu was the top choice of the jury. {The Zdobs} won the competition by a narrow margin of 1 point from Natalia Barbu, whose song Let's Jazz obtained 7 televoting points. Another favorite, Pasha Parfeny, earned 8 points from each the jury and the public.
Zdob si Zdup represented Moldova at Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 with the tune featuring a drumming granny called “Boonika bate doba”, and finished in the sixth place.
This year the Eurovision semis will take place on May 10 and 12, and the final on May 14, in the German city of Dusseldorf. Moldova will enter the competition in the second semifinal on May 12, competing for one of the 25 places in the Final.
