The Moldovan authorities plan to open an embassy in the United Arab Emirates with the head office in Abu Dhabi. A draft Government Decision to his effect was proposed for public consultations by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, IPN reports.
It is also suggested setting up Moldova’s Consulate General in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. If the decision is approved, the Ministry will calculate the costs needed to ensure the Consulate’s activity in the limits of the allocations earmarked for diplomatic missions. Also, the Ministry will present the Consulate’s structure and staff and the allowances in foreign currency for its employees to the Government.
Another draft decision envisions the institution of a commercial-economic service at Moldova’s Embassy in Turkey. The service will have three employees, one of whom will work in Ankara, while the other two in Istanbul. The informative note to the draft decision says the institution of the service implies additional budget costs for including the posts of counselor and first and second secretary at the embassy in Ankara. The proposed amendments will annually generate budget costs of 3 643 200 lei.
