The plane with the Moldovan delegation going to Jerusalem to bring the Holy Fire took off from the Chisinau International Airport on Friday morning. The delegation includes His Holiness Vladimir, two priests and the Government’s secretary general Victor Bodiu. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, the airport’s director general Roman Podkorytov said the charter plane set off at 7am. The travel expenses are covered by Prime Minister Vlad Filat. “I think this is a correct, Christian gesture. I urge all the others to do such gestures too,” said the Premier. He avoided specifying the costs incurred, stressing it is important that the Holy Fire will be conveyed to the Christians in Moldova. The Holy Fire will be brought at the Metropolitan Cathedral “God’s Birth” on April 23 at about 19.30. From the Cathedral, it will be distributed to all the churches of the country.
