Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Valeriu Chiveri took part in a new round of Moldovan-Ukrainian political consultations in Kiev. The discussions with the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Natalia Galibarenko centered on key subjects from the bilateral agenda, including the cooperation in the political sphere. The officials also discussed the Transnistrian issue, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the interlocutors underlined the importance of maintaining the positive dynamics of the bilateral contacts at different levels and pleaded for the continuation and extension of cooperation in areas of common interest. In particular, the officials noted the necessity of implementing the protocol of the 13th meeting of the joint Moldovan-Ukrainian intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation so as to create the preconditions for intensifying the bilateral relations in a number of areas.
At the end, the two deputy ministers signed the plan of consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine for 2015-2016.
