More than 90 photos and paintings have been displayed on the occasion of the Romania’s National Day in the Constantin Brancusi Exhibition Centre in Chisinau. The exhibits contain representations from different countries which have Romanian communities. Most of the works are signed by Vasile Soimaru and Andrei Piticariu from Romania, Info-Prim Neo reports. “The exhibition contains works which had been collected starting 2001, different as techniques and themes. I tried to make something special, to use more unusual materials, board or canvas combined with painting or graphic”, commented Adrian Piticariu, who is visiting Chisinau for the first time. The Ambassador of Romania in Moldova Filip Teodorescu, who also attended the event, stated that “the exhibition itself is a festivity, given the enthusiasm of the participants and the significance and the symbolist meaning which are associated to the day of December 1”. “It is a 13 year-old tradition for the Constantin Brancusi Exhibition Centre that the artists from Moldova try to come closer to what Romania and the Union Day means. This year is a special one because we celebrate the 90’s anniversary and we wanted to mark this event as a real festivity”, concluded Anatol Rurac, head of the Union of Graphic Artists of Moldova. The exhibition will be open to the public until December 14, displaying works of artists from both banks of the Prut River.
