The National Housing Service has put in commission a block with 36 apartments in Floresti town. Rodica Vasiliev, spokeswoman for the Ministry of Construction and Territorial Development, told Info-Prim Neo that the price of the apartments is lower than their market value. The apartments will be distributed to Floresti district residents that submitted applications when the construction started. The National Housing Service representative Oleg Cazacu said that all the 36 apartments have been already sold, but declined to say at what prices. In a communique, the Construction Ministry says that between 2003 and 2008, the National Housing Service had built and put in commission 408 apartments in six districts of the country. Six blocks of flats are now being erected in four districts. They will be ready by 2009. The National Housing Service founded in 2003 is subordinated to the Ministry of Construction and Territorial Development. It is to be liquidated within two months. A new institution will be created instead – the State Enterprise “Assistance to Social Facilities Beneficiaries Service”. The new institution will take over the buildings under construction.
