The National Integrity Commission initiated examinations in relation to judge Mariana Pitic and Minister of Transport and Road Infrastructure Iurie Chirinciuc. It will also examine the compatibility of unaffiliated MP Anatolie Gorila with the held post, IPN reports.
According to a press release of the Commission, in the last meeting there were examined the results of the inquiries concerning three judges, two prosecutors and MP Boris Golovin. By a unanimous vote, the Commission ruled that Boris Golovin was involved in a situation of incompatibility of posts and Parliament is to be informed about this.
Boris Golovin is one of the 14 MPs who left the Communist parliamentary group. In a press release, his former colleagues say that in February they requested Parliament to deprive Golovin of seat because last December he won the contest to fill the post of head of the Emergency Medicine Institute. Under the law, the two posts are incompatible and Boris Golovin must renounce one of them within 30 days. If he does not do it himself, he will be deprived of the seat of MP.
In the same meeting, the members of the Commission voted differently on another three cases of possible violation of the legal regime of incompatibility. These involve the deputy chairman of the National Commission for Financial Markets Iurie Filip and the Commission’s members Victor Captari and Aurica Doina. In the case of Filip, there was a parity of votes and the case is to be discussed in another meeting that will be attended by all the members of the Commission. The other two cases were dropped.
