A 70-year-old man died when he fell into the fosse of the orchestra of the National Opera House “Maria Biesu” of Chisinau.
Press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Natalia Stati has told IPN that the man worked as an engineer at the National Opera House. He fell from the stage, from a height of about two meters. When on the spot, the ambulance doctors could only state the man’s death.
Another workplace accident occurred at a building site in Rascani district of Chisinau last weekend. A man aged 22 fell from the tenth floor of the building under construction. The worker died before an ambulance arrived. An investigation was opened to establish who is to blame for the accident and if the workplace security rules were obeyed.
