Collections to the national public budget amounted to about 71.5 billion lei in 2024. This figure represents an increase of 7.5 billion (11.7%) compared to 2023, IPN reports.
According to the State Tax Service, 29.2 billion lei was collected in the state budget in 2024, which is 1.7 billion (6.3%) more than in 2023.
By 1.1 billion (15.8%), the receipts of local budgets also increased, which totaled 8.1 billion lei last year. The state social insurance budget collected 25.5 billion lei, an increase of 3.5 billion (15.8%).
Compared to 2023, the receipts of mandatory health care insurance funds also increased in 2024. They totaled about 8.6 billion lei, up by 1.1 billion lei (15.2%).
