The European Commission transferred €3.5 billion ($3.77 billion) to Ukraine on April 1 under the Ukraine Facility program, IPN reports.
The new aid is the third tranche of the Ukraine Facility program to the value of up to €50 billion, which is a support mechanism for 2024-2027 that aims to recover, rebuild, modernize and support Ukraine, both in the context of its war with Russia and of its path of accession to the European Union.
"These funds will help the country to further maintain macroeconomic stability. The European Commission has noted our country's commitment to implementing reforms on the path to full EU membership," Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Smyhal said in a post on social media.
So far, the EU has provided €19.6 billion through the Ukraine Facility program.
