New free portal of online dictionaries to be launched

The publishing house Litera will launch the free portal of online dictionaries dictionar.litera.ro on November 16. The available information will represent the electronic version of the dictionaries printed by Litera, the publishing house says in a communique, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. In beta version, the portal will include four dictionaries: the Great Universal Dictionary of the Romanian Language, the Dictionary of Synonyms, the Dictionary of Antonyms, and the Dictionary of Proverbs. The fourth edition of the Great Universal Dictionary of the Romanian Language will be available in electronic format earlier than in printed format. It will come out in the first quarter of 2010. “The portal dictionar.litera.ro is an extremely useful instrument. The explanation of the word, its synonyms, antonyms and the related proverbs will be available on the same page. When a definition is found, the explanation of every word given in the definition can be accessed by a simple click on the given word,” it is said in the communique. The following dictionaries available at the publishing house Litera will be added monthly to dictionar.litera.ro: the Universal Dictionary of Films, the Dictionary of Romanian Films, the Great Orthographic Dictionary of the Romanian Language, the Universal Dictionary of Music, the Geographical Dictionary, the English-Romanian-English Dictionary, the French-Romanian-French Dictionary, the Dictionary of Expressions and Phases, the Dictionary of Universal Art.
