A new channel called Axial TV will work on the media market of Moldova. The Broadcasting Coordination Council on January 28 issued a broadcast license to the new TV channel. After examining the conception, members of the Council said this is a very ambitious project.

The founder of Axial TV Silvia Caloianu has told IPN that this is a private channel that will broadcast mainly own audiovisual products, including programs about culture, arts and education, informative-cognitive, recreational, analysis and synthesis programs and music. “We plan to start work next month, through the agency of cable networks. The website of Axial TV will become available in several days,” said the founder.

Axial TV is a channel intended for people of all ages. It will broadcast children’s programs such as “Morning with Peter Pan” and programs for students like “The Lyceum Student’s Hour”  as well as such programs as “European standards”, “Nutrition on the plate”, “See you online”, “A poet a week”, “Auction plus”, “Musical casino” ,”Around the axis”, “A love story”, “Woman of the year”, and “Harmonious house”.

The Council members approved of the idea and conception, but said that it would be hard to broadcast only own production because the realities in Moldova show that this is very expensive. It was ultimately agreed that the TV channel’s broadcast schedule will consists of at least 70% of own production.
