Olesea Stamate reacted to PAS's decision to exclude her from the party. She stated that she understands the political context and the intense informational attack over the past few days, directed both at the party and at her personally, especially in an election year, IPN reports.

"I have accepted with understanding the decision of the PAS leadership regarding my exclusion from the party. The attempt to involve my family in these vile attacks, orchestrated by the enemies of the government – both from within and outside the country – is unacceptable and beyond any limit of decency," wrote Olesea Stamate on her official page.

Olesea Stamate stated that she remains committed to the principles of legality, the rule of law, and democratic values.

The decision to exclude Olesea Stamate from PAS was made by the party’s National Permanent Bureau, in the context of a law previously proposed by Stamate. The announcement was made by the PAS leader and Speaker of Parliament, Igor Grosu. PAS has asked the MP to resign from her position, a request that Stamate has not yet commented on.

This comes after the criminal Alexandru Sinigur was recently released from prison, under Article 91. Prime Minister Dorin Recean announced that authorities have launched an investigation to determine whether Alexandru Sinigur's release was due to legislative loopholes or abuse.
