Around 1,100 social workers are to receive a one-time payment in the amount of 8,000 lei. This was announced by Minister of Labor and Social Protection Alexei Buzu, who said that the authorities want to express their gratitude for the work of front-line workers, IPN reports.
In a press conference, the minister thanked the community social workers from all over the country for working overtime and on days off in November, helping over 400,000 citizens to register in the compensation system.
"I am very glad that for March and April, we can offer all community social workers that RESTART bonus. Each community social worker in Moldova will receive a one-time payment of 8,000 lei," said Alexei Buzu.
According to him, the support is provided not only for the November effort, but also following the increase in cases registered in the case management system.
"At the beginning of 2024, there were 3,300 such cases. Currently, we have 36,000 cases, a tenfold increase. We wanted to show this form of support to our front-line colleagues because we understand how hard their work is," said the minister.
The one-off payments are to be transferred throughout the month.
