Orhei fir 'not good enough'

A fir tree which municipal agents went to see this morning in Orhei proved to be not good enough to make for Chisinau's Christmas Tree. An alternative has been found in Glodeni. Chisinau's chief arborist Eliferii Haruta told Info-Prim Neo that when his men arrived in Orhei, they saw that the tree stood at no more than 15 meters tall, or half the height claimed by its owner on the phone. Last year the City Hall bought the Christmas Tree from Bozieni, Hincesti district, for 11,000 lei. It stood at 26 meters tall together with the platform.
