MP Mihai Godea, president of the Democratic Action Party (PAD), asked the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Ministry of Interior, and the Security and Intelligence Service to start criminal proceedings on the names of the organizers of the violent incidents in Balti, reports Info-Prim Neo. According to the MP, the governing power and bodies relevant to the investigation of the case have had enough time to work towards the identification of the organizers and instigators of the violence spikes from August 5, Balti, which ended in the injury of several people. “I have signed three interpellations for Zubco, Recean and Dediu, in which I ask for explanations from the institutions led by these dignitaries, because I, as an MP, as well as the citizens of this country, have the right to know who is guilty of not prosecuting the organizers of the Balti violence spikes. And we are also very interested why there are no criminal files on the names of the political leaders who have publicly assumed and acknowledged their involvement in the organization of the Balti provocations”, stated Mihai Godea, making reference to the names of Victor Selin, Mark Tkaciuk, Mihail Formuzal and Igor Dodon. “Victor Selin, president of the Social Democratic Party, boasted in an interview for a TV channel that he had organized and even had given the necessary tools to the participants, the so-called anti-protesters, of the Balti violence spikes. I believe that since August 5 till August 16 there has been enough time for the relevant institutions to do their job”, Godea pointed out. The Unification March, planned by “Actiunea 2012” for August 5, in the Balti municipality, was cancelled by the local public authorities, as a result of violent clashes. Representatives of several Parties have protested against the march. Although the police have tried to keep the two sides apart, by forming a human chain, anti-protesters threw rocks, eggs and tomatoes, and resorted to violence. There were journalists among the victims. As a result of the clashes, three people were taken into custody.
